Applications Of Acrylonitrile Monomer:

1. Synthetic Fibers: Acrylonitrile Monomer is the primary raw material for producing acrylic fiber. Commonly used in sweaters, carpets, blankets, and outdoor fabrics.

2. Synthetic Plastics:

Acrylonitrile copolymerized with butadiene and styrene forms rigid, durable ABS plastic used in automotive parts and electronic enclosures.
Copolymerized with styrene, it creates transparent, chemical-resistant SAN resin for water cups, food containers, and appliance components.

3. Synthetic Rubber: Copolymerized with butadiene to produce nitrile rubber (NBR).

4. Other Chemicals: Acrylonitrile Monomer (CAS 107-13-1) can be processed into acrylamide for wastewater treatment and papermaking. It is also a key raw material for producing nylon 66.
