Diethanolamine, also known as dihydroxyethylamine, 2,2'-iminodiethanol, is a white crystal or colorless liquid with strong hygroscopic properties. It is easily soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, acetone, and benzene, with a solubility (g/100g) of 4.2 in benzene at 25ºC and 0.8 in ether.
