Dimethylformamide DMF is a kind of colorless transparent inflammable liquid with a slight ammonia odor.DMF is an important organic material and a good solvent. It is used as a solvent for man-made leather and chemical fiber, also used as material for the synthesis of insecticide of high-effectiveness and low-toxicity, as a gas, absorbent to separate and purify the gas in the petrochemical industry, as a material of sulfadiazine, cortisone, and Vitamin B6 in the pharmaceutical industry, and also the as fixing agent in vapor-phase analysis.
