Product Description

CAS 80-62-6 Methyl Methacrylate MMA is a colorless, volatile, and flammable liquid. Its relative density is 0.9440; its melting point is -48°C; its boiling point is 100-101°C; its refractive index is 1.4142; and its vapor pressure (25.5°C) is 5.33 kPa. Liquid methyl methacrylate is soluble in various organic solvents, including ethanol, ether, and acetone, and slightly soluble in ethylene glycol and water. It readily polymerizes in the presence of light, heat, ionizing radiation, and catalysts.

Methyl Methacrylate Use

Industrial liquid methyl methacrylate is primarily used as a monomer in organic glass, but is also used in the manufacture of other resins, plastics, coatings, adhesives, lubricants, wood and cork sizing agents, and paper polishes.

MMA Monomer Storage

Store in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from sources of fire and heat. Protect from light. The storage temperature should not exceed 37°C. The packaging must be sealed and protected from air. MMA Monomer should be stored separately from oxidants, acids, bases, halogens, and other substances, and should never be mixed. Large quantities or prolonged storage are not recommended.
