The full name of dimethylacetamide is N,N-dimethylacetamide (chemical formula: CH₃C(O)N(CH₃)₂ (abbreviated as DMAC or DMA), is a commonly used aprotic polar solvent. It is a commonly used aprotic polar solvent. It is a colourless, transparent liquid that is flammable. It can be freely mixed with organic solvents such as water, alcohol, ether, esters and aromatic compounds. N,N-Dimethylacetamide DMAC Solution is used in the preparation of drugs and synthetic resins, as well as for polyacrylonitrile spinning, carbon extractive distillation and the separation of styrene into eight fractions.
