CAS 75-65-0 Tert-butylalcohol (TBA, Tert-butylalcohol), also known as trimethylmethanol, 2-methyl-2-propanol, etc., forms four isomers of butanol with n-butanol, isobutanol, and secondary butanol. The pure product is colorless crystal, colorless volatile liquid in the presence of a small amount of water, has a camphor-like odor, hygroscopic, flammable, and has higher toxicity and anesthetics than other alcohols.

Uses

1. Tert-Butyl Alcohol is an important intermediate of insecticides such as thiazinone, diazide, fenzoylhydrazine, acaricide and herbicide sec-butanol. Sodium tert-butanol is used as an important sodium alcohol in pesticide industry, mainly for pyrethroid cyclization reaction

2. TBA CAS 75-65-0 is used as a solvent and chromatographic analysis reagent for molecular weight determination

3. Tert-Butanol is used as organic solvents and chemical raw materials, but also raw materials for the preparation of drugs and spices

4. Used as fuel additive for internal combustion engine (to prevent carburetor from freezing) and antiknock agent
