CAS 110-82-7 Cyclohexane, an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H12, is a colorless, pungent liquid, insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene, acetone and other organic solvents. It is a colorless, highly flammable liquid that occurs naturally in petroleum at a concentration of 0.5-1.0%. High Quality Cyclohexane is mainly used in the industrial production of nylon precursors - adipic acid and caprolactam, and is also commonly used as a solvent, paint remover, and raw material in the manufacture of other chemicals. Cyclohexane liquid is produced mainly by hydrogenation of benzene.
