Potassium formate is an organic salt with the chemical formula HCOOK. It is a white solid that easily absorbs moisture and is reducible. It can react with strong oxidants and has a density of 1.9100 g/cm³. It is soluble in water and is non-toxic and non-corrosive. Its aqueous solution is colourless and transparent, and the specific gravity of the saturated solution is 1.58 g/cm³.

Potassium Formate Salt is mainly used in oil drilling.

1. It is widely used in the oil industry for drilling, completion and workover fluids, and has excellent performance.
