Applications

1. Liquid Methyl cyclohexane is an important organic solvent and extractant. It can be used as a solvent for rubber, paint and varnish (some paint solvents also use methylcyclohexane) and as an extractant.

2. Methylcyclohexane (CAS NO 108-87-2) can be used in organic synthesis as a solvent and analytical reagent. In addition, MCH can be used as a standard for thermometer calibration. The correction solution is made of methylcyclohexane as the main ingredient.
