Triethylene glycol (CAS 112-27-6) is a transparent, colorless liquid with low volatility; it has high stability and is not easily affected by acidic or alkaline environments; it is soluble in water and many organic solvents. Triethylene glycol is commonly used as a solvent in the preparation of chemical products such as coatings, paints, and inks, and TEG chemical is also used in the manufacture of polyester fibers and polyester resins.
