CAS 79-10-7 Acrylic acid 99.5% is an organic compound with the chemical formula C₃H₄O₂. It is a colourless liquid with a pungent odour that is miscible with water and soluble in ethanol and ether. It is chemically active and easily polymerises in air. AA Acrylic Acid can be reduced to propionic acid by hydrogenation, and it reacts with hydrogen chloride to produce 2-chloropropionic acid. It is primarily used in the production of acrylic resins.
