Diethanolamine DEA Uses

1. It is an intermediate in the production of the herbicide glyphosate.

2. Diethanolamine DEA is used as a gas purifier and as a raw material for synthetic drugs and organic synthesis.

3. It is also used as an analytical reagent, a gas chromatography stationary phase, a softener, a lubricant and in organic synthesis.

4. Diethanolamine 99% is mainly used as an absorbent for acidic gases such as CO₂, H₂S and SO₂, as a non-ionic Surfactant, emulsifier and polishing agent, and as an industrial gas purifier and lubricant. It is also used as a thickener and foam improver in shampoos and light detergents, as well as a softener in the production of synthetic fibres and leather.
